WOW! AWESOME! SO COOL! These are just some of the things you will hear from any child when they see the Power Wheels Dune Racer.
Power Wheels Dune Racer: Design
The first thing that strikes you about the Dune Racer are the looks. With a choice of luminous green or florescent red or even chrome body work choices, exposed suspension struts and those wide mud guard’s sitting over chunky tires you can tell that this racer means business!
Fisher Price have designed the Power Wheels Dune Racer to look like a hardcore off road, rallying machine equally happy on tarmac or on the muddy stuff. Unlike other kids electric cars such as the Fisher-Price Power Wheels Tough Talking Jeep Wrangler this is not based on a specific road going car however I think it looks a lot like a KTM XBow or the latest car from Arial Motors, the nomad.
The Power Wheels Dune Racer can sit two children of between 3 and 7 years old comfortably using the integrated seats. Though it comes with “seat belts” these are secured with velcro and are more for the look rather than functional safety.
The looks of the Dune Racer aren’t just for show, Fisher Price have built a pretty serious piece of kit. Built on a box steel frame which should help this to last and it even comes with directional tires! Yep, the Dune Racer is a pretty advanced these days.
Should your child feel the need to transport one of there favorite toys or something they have collected from the woods they can. Under the black hatch at the front is a small storage compartment.
The fact that this comes from the Fisher-Price Power Wheels range can also give you confidence that while the kids are having fun, the electric car they are riding in is well built from a reputable firm. Fisher Price have a great reputation for quality and have earned that reputation by producing high quality products.

After you buy your Dune Racer and it arrives you will need to put it together. Don’t panic, this is fairly easy to do and most people seem to find that this takes about an hour.
The Fisher Price Dune Racer is pretty powerful -the 12v Motor will propel your child to 5mph (or 2.5mph for the younger children) and we have seen reviews where even fully grown adults have suggested they can be pulled around.
Power Wheels Dune Racer: Customer Opinion
At the time of writing the Power Wheels Dune Racer had been reviewed by 981 times on Amazon.com giving it a rating of 4.4 out of five.
Positive areas that are commented on regularly include the great, head turning looks, the battery life of just under 2 hours before needing to be recharged, the power of the battery and the traction the tires give on and off road.
The only real negatives we can see about this electric car is that the paint and chrome can scratch and scuff fairly easily, though we think this adds to the off-road rugged look, and we have heard of the tires wearing quickly on pavement but generally this electric car gets rave reviews!
